Day 322

For adventure, opportunity, imagination and wonderment we give thanks!   May our days be imbued with them.  They give us hope, they remind us to be present, and when we live into them, we leave the world more sparkling and magnificent in our wake.  So let us bring our inner-child to our outer-selves and greet the world as our playground.  Play nice!  We are thankful.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 321

May we move into wellness and recovery, in all its many forms.  May we find reserves of which we did not know.  May we be resilient, resplendent, and robust.  Even in our weakest, most frail moments may we know the path beyond.  Let us be grateful for the infinite power within us.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 320

For all that we take for granted, great and small, we are grateful.  Our absent mindedness is not complicity – it is that we are programmed to want that which we have not.  May our prayer-practice re-condition us to appreciate the greatest miracle of all: that we are here.  Everything else is gravy, which is sometimes lumpy and sometimes not.  So enjoy this breath, and the next.  Let us not end our days wanting, but rather grateful for each and every yesterday.  We are Grateful.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 319

Zen prayer: may we Be so that we may not be; may we walk far enough to arrive where we are; may we speak and say nothing; may we begin at the end and end at the beginning; may we empty our hearts so that they will be full of love.  For tranquil thought in our active minds we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 318

Each of us is a story.  Yes, we have our stories; they are elements of the narrative that is our lives.  And in our living, we each become a story in the great work of All, of Everything and Foreverness.  Each day holds the possibility of new adventure, although most will be simple exposition, merely moving the plot forward.  Nevertheless, without our stories, there is nothing: the entire Universe and Everything in it exists only because we speak of it, and we tell it as a story.  As we move throughout our days, may we take time to recognize this cosmic narrative, and imagine the happiest and most exciting stories possible.  For holy story-telling we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 316

Let us be thankful for the smallest things: sunshine, food, clean water, and our easy lives.  For as caught up in the modern world we are, it is the modern world, and life has never been as easy and comfortable and predictable as it is at this moment.  So be thankful, and work to sustain and improve this world, that future generations will be thankful of us.  For modern convenience we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 315

Let us move into our day with enthusiasm, creativity, and a sense of mischief!  Life calls us to be a little silly from time to time, to relieve our tensions and bring brevity and balance to the world.  We serve ourselves and each other best by not taking it all so seriously; it’s far too important for that.  When things get too heavy today, remember to smile, to laugh, to joke, and to play.  We are children in this vast garden – may we not forget it.  For happy hearts and playful purposes we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 314

Joy, joy, and more joy!  More love, and more love!  With them comes more suffering, more angst,  more fear.  Celebrate All, for All is all we have, and what we have is All.  We are blessed with abundance – we need only accept it with gratitude.  It is a simple thing, as complex as the Universe.  May we indulge our lives with living.  For Abundance we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Day 313

Let us hold our elders in care and compassion.  As our days draw shorter, our challenges grow disproportionately greater.  The simplest activities become monumental challenges.  And the world does not wait.  May we take time to sit, to listen, to help our seniors, as they prepare themselves for inevitability.  Small acts of kindness become great acts of love.  Dignity is restored, transitions made easier.  We live our lives wholly, from beginning to end and back again.  May we live them together in richness and in love.  For our elders we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.
