We are Enough

May we face today’s challenges and embrace the opportunities secure in the knowledge that we are enough, just as we are.  As we live into this truth, we become more, such that we are enough and then some.  What is asked of us daily is that we show up, that we remain present, that we act in love, and that we treat each other with the same dignity and respect we want for ourselves.  We are enough.  Enough said.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

A Blessing

To all who grieve the passing of a loved one,

You are blessed and held in love.

To all who fear what is unknown and beyond control,

You are blessed and held in love.

To all who feel inadequate or unworthy,

You are blessed and held in love.

To all who struggle and don’t know their own strength,

You are blessed and held in love.

To All of Us, in whatever condition we find ourselves,

We are blessed and we hold each other in love.

Blessed Be, and Amen.

From Here to Eternity

Vision can be deceptive: we believe what we see, but we often see what we want.  May today be the day we open our eyes to new possibilities, new insights, and most importantly to share the vision of others.  We need not abandon our own perspective; rather our spiritual imperative is to blend and form a unified vision.  A vision of oneness, a vision of equality, a vision of Love and Compassion – the Long View, stretching from here to eternity.  Seeing is believing, so may we set our sights on the radiant horizon of Hope.  For vision and visionaries we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

The Art of Compassion

Compassion is the art of seeing another’s pain with a loving heart.  It is an art because it transcends practice – it is imbued with grace, dignity, and thoughtful intention.  We do not blindly stumble into compassion, but rather we are elevated into a state of compassion.  Let us promote in ourselves a generous spirit, an empathic concern, and the energy necessary to become the artists of compassion that our loved ones so desperately need.  In so doing, the world will become a more compassionate realm, elevating All and furthering us along our spiritual path.  May we be steeped in Compassion, forever grateful.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Courageous Love

Courageous Love!  The love that says “yes.”  The love that overcomes its own fear.  The love that tries again.  The love that says “I’m sorry.”  The love that laughs.  The love that cries.  The love that sings, and the love that is silent.  Courageous Love is everywhere, and most importantly Courageous Love is in each and every one of us!  May Courageous Love by viscerally present today, as we wake to new opportunities and challenges.  May it inform our every breath, may it reside in every touch.  Make it remind us of our wholeness, our incompleteness, and our agility in moving between the two.  We are thankful for Courageous Love.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Metamorphosis

May today be the day where our great passions meet the world’s deepest need; where our longings are spurred to action; where our sorrows manifest as redemptive love; where our shame transforms our being into our nobility.  Like a butterfly emerging from the pupa, we are born and reborn each day.  May we spread our wings and delight in our own fancy, free to choose, free to grow, free to love.  We are grateful for transformation as we say Blessed Be, and Amen.

Dignity

What is the form of Dignity?  Is it our primary aspiration?  Answers to these come in many forms depending on one’s circumstance, and yet we all seek the same dignity.  We are born into a world that would put us in our ‘place.’  Let us begin today to redefine our sense of place, to put ourselves at the heart of the matter.  Let us recognize in each other that self-same Dignity for which we ourselves so long.  Your Dignity and mine are one in the same, and together we live into the fulfilling promise of life, for which we are grateful.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

The Ritual of Life

Time is often marked in passages: a graduation, an anniversary, a marriage, a death.  Life can be seen as a transitional event, always on our way from there to here.  These liminal moments are unsettling, as we stand on the threshold we are neither in nor out.  We are outside of time and space.  We create ritual in order to navigate safely from being that to becoming this.  Life is a meta-ritual, a constant invention and reinvention.  Prayer is the subtext of this ritual living.  May it bring us the peace and guidance we seek, calming and soothing us as we transition again and again and again.  May we live in Grace and Gratitude.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

A Simple Minded Prayer

A simple prayer: breathe deeply, eat nutritiously, love deeply, laugh heartily, mourn soulfully, and work industriously.  This simple prayer is not especially profound, nor is it revelatory; it is simply mindful, simple minded.  The virtues of a simple life are often espoused, as are the virtues of mindfulness.  So let us embrace our simple mindedness, and be simply mindful.  The simple mind is the grateful mind, and we simply give simple thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.

Unexpected Family

Today may we be mindful of all the relationships in our lives.  Who are our brothers and sisters?  The genealogy of connection is boundless when considering the biology of the cosmos.  We are all star-children, as is the entirety of everything we have ever encountered or have yet to experience.  Universal connection and connected to the universe.  Even the elements we process internally to live and breath are returned to the air, only to become essential parts of another.  In our self-ness we are immutably one, inter- and intra-related.  As we do unto each other, so do we do to ourselves.  Herein lies our Divinity.  For our oneness we give thanks.  Blessed Be, and Amen.
