Melodious strains and harmonic resonance – the music of living surrounds us, permeates us, and creates the symphony of the universe. We can either choose to be in tune, in time, and on pitch, or we can be discordant, disruptive and dissonant. We are all musical, all with a voice to share. Let us sing with joy and enthusiasm, lifting our song to the past, the present, and the future! For the Song of Songs we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
Breathe. Relax. Focus with the intent to quiet our minds and open ourselves to the message of the Universe. Be at peace, forgive and accept. Too often we make it All too hard, through desire and unrealistic expectation. Do not abandon Hope, but balance it by receiving what is. Do not fail to act, but try to act without agenda beyond this moment. Let us find the groove of Being and rejoice in our mutual presence. For tranquility we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
Let us keep our focus ever on the goal, whatever it might be. Let us attune our energy to accomplishment and closure. Not that we will be ultimately done, for our work goes on. And yet, we have our little tasks of all types that if left undone will serve to distract us from our real purpose: wholeness and presence. So let us be industrious, that we may move unfettered through our days. For completed chores we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
We anxiously anticipate the world of which we dream, where there is peace and plenty and salvation. We are worthy of this world by our mere presence. In that spirit, let us be present to fulfilling this destined world; let us take up our part in seeing it come to pass. Act gently, speak compassionately and harm none. We shall overcome. For sacred destiny we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
Let us move through this day with a good and proper sense of who we are. May we be filled with confidence and humility. May we understand our worth is inherent, not entitlement. We can only be compassionate if we first understand ourselves, and live into our own humanity. So let us set appropriate boundaries, withholding only what we must, but not so guarded that nothing can come in. We are each individual cells in the great organism of Life – we each must be healthy for the body to flourish. For our interconnectedness we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
In anticipation of goodness, wholeness, and togetherness, we are grateful. We shall know them just as we recognize a friend we’ve never met. We shall be giddy as if it were our first crush. We shall rest completely in utter assurance of our security. They are here, just around that corner, just down that street, just here, in our hearts. For this, we are thankful. Blessed Be, and Amen.
Let us juxtapose ‘For it shall come to pass’ and ‘all things must pass.’ The former looks forward in anticipation of hopeful events, the latter often connotates relief from unpleasantness. We are funny creatures in our desire for the good and our dread of the bad, when it fact they are both really the same, coming and going, passing in the fullness of time. How we choose to mark our time in the process of its passing (ongoing, infinite and unfathomable) is up to us. Let us be joyful, even in our misery. Let us be the miraculous living manifestations of God that we are. For unfettered living we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
For calm and measured presence, navigating the storms of life, we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
