The day unfolds, and we wait for something to happen. On our best days, we’re waiting for something wonderful or miraculous. In dark times we’re waiting for the other shoe to drop, for the diagnosis to come back. Yet waiting is a passive verb. Let us fill our time with active living: to engage, to revere, to bless, to invite. What happens to us each day relies heavily on chance; how we react to each day is entirely within us. May we cultivate our own resilience and grace so that we live fully into each moment on our own terms, fully vulnerable and utterly beautiful. For active living we give thanks. Blessed Be, and Amen.
